We strongly believe that EVERY student is a good student, but trying to squeeze 17 years of life into an application that is about 6 pages is not an easy task.
The best is what "fits"
Just like Cinderella with her shoes. You don't choose a school or a program simply because the ranking is high. You choose it because the school offers you the courses, research opportunities, or clubs you like and will help you to reach your ultimate goal. It chooses you because you can contribute to the campus as well. You get the idea.
We also emphasize on paring students with mentors that they like and would be friends with each other to make sure all the time and energy you put into this process maximizes. Remember, and as cliche as it sounds, the feeling has to be mutual.

Don't trust us? How about the admission officers? All the admission officers we interviewed from top schools, including Yale, MIT, Wharton, UCB and CMU, have asked applicants not to think about standing out. Reasons are simple. First, they've viewed thousands, or maybe even tens of thousands applications, and it is extremely hard to surprise them. Second, admission officers want to see the authentic YOU. When you are thinking about standing out, you are comparing yourself with others. Thus, the real you will very easily get lost in the process.
